Field Trip to Nantucket to visit UMass Boston’s Nantucket Field Station

For the seventh year, OLLI will offer our members an opportunity to immerse themselves in the geography, biology, history, and literature at this 114-acre of the NFS, a biologist’s paradise, featuring diverse populations of plants and animals and serving as a wildlife refuge. Nearby are such features as coastal dunes, a freshwater pond, several fresh water swamps, one-half mile of private beach on Nantucket Harbor, and a 45-acre salt marsh.
