Letters to the Editors:” I’M AS MAD AS ...!"
You don't have to be as mad as Howard Beale in the 1975's hit movie Network to dash off a letter to the editor. Accessible to everyone, this literary art form for the vox populi mixes personal expression with public advocacy. Learn how to raise your voice in your neighborhood weekly, metropolitan daily and beyond. This seminar will empower you to write and publish letters which will catch an editor's eye. Bring ten copies of a draft (not to exceed 200 words) on any subject or a clipping of a memorable letter from any news source.
Location: Room 204A, 3rd fl., McCormack Hall
Presenter: Thomas F. Schiavoni of the firm of McGee & Schiavoni in Lynn is a lawyer, community advocate, and inveterate letter writer. Mr. Shiavoni's letters to the editor have appeared in the Boston Globe, Boston Globe Magazine, Boston Herald, New York Times, Princeton Alumni Week
